Unsubscribe Spree

Today logged into my hotmail account and saw about 25 emails promoting products from google wizard to traffic fusion and some products of their own. Read a few of them and then they were just blatant promotion. I don’t see them providing a value to their subscribers. So, took action and un-subscribed from all of them.

At the moment, writing a business plan and collecting all the stuff that I would need to put together the plan and execute it. Learnt an important lesson, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.  Putting things down in writing and re-starting, only this time, I know how to cut the learning curve and get actual results.

Damn WordPress White Spaces

Today was trying to set up 2 wordpress blogs for participating in the Traffic Kahuna Blog Domination contest. WordPress being my fave blogging platform. Use it for all my clients and for building my VRE sites. I realised that after finishing the installation and tweaking, there is an annoying white space between the post title and post body (screenshot below).

I tried googling the problem but could not find a solution, tried all the webmaster and wordpress forums, couldnt find the answer. Then went through the code of the theme, but found nothing in the code either. I thought it was a problem with Hostgator and something to do with their server and wordpress installs. But it was also not the case.

So If you are also experiencing wordpress white space problem then you might need to look at the plugins that you have installed. I de-activated each one by one and refreshed to see the changes and finally found the culprit. Its was the All in one YPN and Google Adsense Plugin. I deactivated it and the white space was gone.

Pheeww…that was tiring, but learnt a lesson about first checking with the widgets n plugins that are installed.

Babble Pulse, not a name that I could come up with. Got the name from a Web 2.0 name generator. Now I think I really like it

Purpose of the blog is to spread some knowledge about everything that I have learnt about making money online, SEO, and internet marketing. Also to re-start my IM business with new dimensions, greater focus and more aggressive marketing.

Hope to bounce off a few ideas here n there and learn some new stuff on the way to my goal of reaching $100 a day in net profit. Looks like hard work and it is…after 3 years of being in it and realizing that there is no magic bullet that will spit money out like an ATM machine. Also, been a patient of “analysis paralysis” and now at the near end of my treatment. A self administered cure.
